Onsite Training for Orbital Welding Applications

A leading engineering business undertaking a project within the brewing industry was looking to adapt its welding processes to support the manufacture of heat exchangers. Orbitec was engaged to support the client in training their team and support with the weld development process. The goal was to transition from using enclosed weld heads to implementing tube-to-tube sheet welding with orbital automated welding technology, which posed a significant technical shift for their team.

To meet this challenge, Orbitec provided onsite training tailored to the company’s requirements. Over the course of two days, Orbitec worked directly with their team, demonstrating how to convert existing enclosed weld heads to tube sheet weld heads. The training emphasised the practical setup and the techniques necessary for successful tube-to-tube sheet welding.

In addition to the hands-on training, Orbitec offered support to help the client develop weld processes. This support ensured that the client had a robust foundation for the new welding process, met industry standards, and was optimised for the company’s production needs.

By the conclusion of the training, the team was fully equipped to apply their new skills, enabling our customer to implement new welding processes and undertake the project efficiently whilst maintaining high-quality stan ards.
