The standard Orbitec product range is manufactured by Orbitec GmbH, based near Frankfurt in Germany. Here in Derby we at Orbitec Limited have more than twenty five years experience applying the various process techniques across a diverse range of industries from Dairy to Nuclear. This combined with the ability to design and manufacture bespoke tooling means cost savings and quality improvements can be achieved on less obvious applications, often in novel and innovative ways.
The process and equipment experience available from our orbital engineers forms the bedrock of our business and provides an invaluable source of reference in support of our sales, hire, service, design and training activities.
Kevin has now clocked up almost 40 years working in the orbital welding industry, with 13 years site-based experience globally for Foster Wheeler Automated Welding Ltd followed by 10 years for Arc Machines, Inc. in the UK.
For the last 17 years as the owner of Orbitec Limited Kevin has continued to apply and develop this experience, assisting and advising in the application of Orbitec products to the various Orbital welding requirements for both fusion and wire feed applications.
James started with Orbitec Limited from school as an apprentice Orbital Technician in 2008. Since completing his academic and practical studies in Mechanical and Fabrication Engineering at Derby College he continues to develop his role within Orbitec providing Service, Training and Application Engineering support. Now as Workshop Manager James is actively supporting the expansion of our service team along with implementation of a CNC manufacturing capacity to support our custom made product activities.

Chris is an apprentice trained mechanical engineer with a service and maintenance pedigree. Since joining our service team in June 2019 he continues to develop his skills and Orbitec plant knowledge through his role as an Orbital Service Technician.
A willing and enthusiastic member of our team ready to help with all your service and maintainence requirements.
Tom is our apprentice Orbital Service Technician having joined us in July 2019. In between day release studies for a foundation degree in Integrated Engineering Tom is gaining practical experience and knowledge in all aspects of orbital equipment service. In addition he is also actively involved with manufacturing parts and assemblies for our custom made products and tooling.
Training and development of staff at all levels along with the sharing and dissemination of knowledge and experience are important guiding principles for us here at Orbitec. In his relatively short time Tom is already providing a valuable contribution to our service and ‘special’ projects activities.
